Cone Head

So a while ago Stan had to wear a cone on his head. A "cone of shame" to borrow a term from Pixar's 'Up'.

Tim was fascinated by what Stan was wearing and followed him around for a while. Whether it was brotherly concern or he just liked to stare at Stan in amusement we aren't sure... but it inspired this comic strip - enjoy and please share.

"Cave"

A recap to "Cave" all in one go as purr the new webcomic format.

Enjoy and please share.

The REAL Stan and Tim adventures update

Hi S&T fans,

I hope you have been enjoying the comic strip stories recently. Feel free to drop me a line and let me know what you think and for those kids who read it feel free to send your own drawings of Stan and Tim in: mikeyb@theartyone.co.uk

So as you may already know Stan and Tim are based on two real cats of the same names. They maybe not be the kittens you see in the comic stories any more (they grow up so fast! *sniff*) but they still get up to some amusing and exciting things.

They have been house cats for a few years now and one weekend recently, after moving from a flat to a house, they got their chance to step outside into the real world...

Brave little steps into a big scary world for the boys.

"This is as far as we go ...today." - Stan and Tim

They weren't outside for long before they got a bit scared, overwhelmed and cold. No doubt it won't be long until they're in and out all the time.

London Super Comic Con

A mid-week treat for you all.

An update on Mikey's trip to the London Super Comic Con on 15 - 16 March 2014.

Many a leaflet for Stand and Tim's Imaginative adventures were taken and Mikey's hand drawn sign for Cat cartoon portraits drew some interest (pardon the pun).

Below are many of the commissions requested over the weekend. Note: not all commissions were photographed due to either tiredness or hunger causing forgetfulness.

This is Simba

Didn't get this cat's name... but he's looking pretty chilled.

Cats love any form of box or basket.

Mikey's trademark concentration face

D'aww! I bet these two provide hours of amusement.

Frustrated much? "These damn coloured pencils on this smooth paper! Some colours just don't come out without a few hours of intense colouring."

"Dear Santa..."

Yes there were dog commissions too. I've never seen such a fluffy cat!

More dogs... a happy dog here.

The beginnings of another dog commission (forgot the final photo though)

NO PHOTOS!!

One of the faves of that weekend. This is Buffy and she even has her own Instagram

If your cat or dog was drawn that weekend but there's no photo here - feel free to email it to Mikey and he'll post it up on here as well as the Stan and Tim's Imaginative Adventures Facebook Page

Break over - PURRRfect time for a new story

I've been a busy boy with other illustration and caricature commissions, bookings, etc going on and was feeling a bit deflated and uninspired and struggling with the next Stan and Tim's Imaginative Adventure.

...but then a weekend in Leeds at The Thought Bubble Comic Convention and those creative cogs are turning, the ideas factory is firing up and I'm back on the case.

You heard Stan - Like and Share: www.facebook.com/stanandtim

Even the boys are starting to get impatient so I can only imagine you will be too!

Currently churning out ideas and scribbling them down and drawing pages as I type (blimey! Good multi-tasking for a bloke!). Be low are a break down of the above image for you to see how I go about drawing Stan and Tim. Maybe I'll do a video of me drawing in the future and post it too.

Step by step of how I turned a doodle of Stan looking unimpressed with me into a full colour illustration.
